Against Gender-Based Violence
The overaching goal of this action is to raise public awareness, stimulate behavior change and increase political support coordination and resources to respond to national issues; in relation to PREVENTION of violence against women and girls, PROMOTION of justice and ending impunity and PROVISION of services to survivors of violence
National Care Reform Strategy
MECAWE has been a key advocate of National Care Reform Strategy. Practically apply this strategic approach considering the National Strategy's 3 pillars: Prevention of Separation and family strengthening, Alternative care, Tracing, reintegration and transitioning to family and community-based care.
Advocate for Children with Disabilities
We Provide information to people with disabilities about their human rights and identifying instances of discrimination . Assisting people with disabilities to uphold their rights by speaking with and writing to people and organizations to raise awareness of problems and seek solutions..
Working with the people on the ground
Since its inception over 25 years ago, MECAWE has developed an excellent relationship with the people on the ground (individuals, community, organisations and government bodies) who not only fiercely protect children but work together to ensure that no child is left behind.
